I never knew that Hermès had a magazine till it showed up at my place a few days ago. The dreamy cover immediately took my breath away. Probably what made me like the magazine so much more was the way Hermès presented their products in a creative and non-pushy manner. There was no hard-selling involved; it was not compiled like a lookbook or a catalog. The magazine was so enjoyable to read and soothing to the soul!
Despite being so unconventional, what is smart about the magazine is the way it makes you dream and imagine places and situations you want to be in with Hermès there. It goes beyond status or ego needs to aspirations and self-fulfillment. The magazine also features works by photographers, artists, write ups about resorts and editorial photographs.
This magazine made my week for me, especially since Jon just left this morning to work for 2 years in Hong Kong. It constantly reminds me to always keep dreaming and hoping for the best.
