Uyii

Yesterday, my mom came back and mentioned Uyii to me and I went, "yeah, the owner's was my art teacher back in JC." And then I realised that I have not even introduced Uyii on this blog! Terrible me indeed.

Uyii is a local Singaporean brand that does bags- backpacks, sling bags and laptop cases. What I like about the brand is it's philosophy: Uyii is not a fast fashion label. All bags are made with care and personal effort. About 30% of their fabrics is unwanted material that isn't in production anymore. How's that for a philosophy?

A great thing about the brand is that the prices are affordable! You can get a laptop sleeve for $55 and a bag for $118. On top of that, they ensure that the fabric is of a certain quality to last your usual wear-and-tear.

My favourite by far is the sold-out Kerouac bag. It's so different from a normal backpack and so interesting in its style. Actually, to think about it, the whole brand does remind me of a local "Herschel Supply Co."

Some others with the same style includes Salmon Pink Large Half (above) and Triangle BacPac (below).

If I didn't already have so many bags, I would have gotten a Uyii for school. Check it out anyway at Uyii.com.sg

Have a happy weekend!
