Happy Sunday everyone! Other than having a keen interest in fashion, I love to customise anything I can. I haven't had much time to do DIY but this week, I created some 10 ringtones for my iPhone and thought of sharing this tip with you! I managed to personalise my ringtone, my message tone and my alarm song (so that I'm happy to wake up!) What I enjoyed the most is how I created a ringtone from my favourite obscure song for free!
To create your own ringtone, you have to have the song in your iTunes. Then left click on the song and go to 'Get Info'. Under options, select a 'start time' & 'end time' to your song. After that, hit okay and then click on the song again & click 'Create AAC version'. Now here comes the troublesome part- find the song in your computer (the file's name is usually the title of the song) and change the '.m4a' to a '.m4r'. Then, remove this song from your iTunes music playlist, but don't remove move it to trash. Instead, hit 'Keep file'. And now, find the '.m4r' version in your computer and import it back to your library :) It will then register as a ringtone under the Ringtone section of your iTunes! If I don't seem clear enough, hit this link!
Well, if you're really lazy & the song you want is pretty popular, here's a site where you can find free ringtones!
Thanks to this, I managed to create 'Gangnam Style' for my boyfriend (he loves that song) but unfortunately, he can't use it because it's pretty unprofessional especially during work hours. I was looking for a good morning alarm and a good message tone of which I found here.
A little song for Sunday- Sweet disposition by The Temper Trap
Have a happy week ahead everyone!
