Dean & Deluca

Follow me on instagram: @fivepaperbags

I realised I went to Dean & Deluca at Orchard Central a few week ago and haven't blogged about it at all! Well, the upscale New York grocery store, which also serves food, came to town June this year with much hype in the air. So with that, I went to D&D with a really high expectations.

Turns out, I wasn't the only one disappointed. My Berries and Flap Jacks pancakes turned out looking beautiful but they were too much for one serving so I'd recommend sharing. The pancakes aren't fluffy but instead, wholesome.  They cost me $18, much like the food we pay for at 'chic & indie' restaurants nowadays. I also asked to add a sausage on the side but they said it'd cost me eight-whooping-dollars so I declined. I love my meat and I need it in the morning!

Although Jon & I only had coffee, pancakes and a little doughnut, my experience there deters me from going back again. There's probably something I missed out on the place (do you guys know what's good?). It's pretty funny that someone on Foursquare left a comment at D&D saying: "This place's sitting arrangement is like a food court but you pay restaurant prices and get crappy service."

I certainly left disappointed :'(
