I've come to realise one of the most compelling reasons people buy branded bags is because of the value per use. No doubt, a brand speaks of one's status and ability to spend, but many choose to buy bags over branded clothes because they can use it everyday.
Each fashion house has their own iconic bag. Chanel: 2.55, Fendi: Baguette, Loewe: Amazona, Gucci: Bamboo, Celine: Luggage, Balenciaga: Motorcycle, Proenza Schouler: PS1. Burberry? Orchard Bag.
I know this may sound quite silly but when I heard of the Orchard bag, I immediately thought of our Orchard Road! This bag has an iconic trapezium shape and a youthful appeal to it. It's big for all the things you need to carry in your bag, easy to carry on your shoulder and goes great with jeans, making it pretty much a good day bag!
For Autumn Winter 2012, the Orchard bag is seen in the autumn shades like mustard, Russet brown and olive green. I love the long gold zippers and the gold heads of owls, dogs and foxes carved in a style resembling animals involved in hunting in Britain.
The Orchard Bag is available in stripes and quilted leather too but the suede ones with the gold buckles are my favourite.
