Fashion High

One of the dangers of working in a store is liking their stuff and becoming a customer. Yes, we're supposed to believe in our products which I do. But spending... ohboy! You should have seen how Jon held my hand a little tighter as we walked past shops yesterday and I went, "Ohh SALE....".

Anyway I bought 2 bottles of Priti nail polish at work (Little Man). They're special because of they're non-toxic, made without carcinogenic ingredients like formaldehyde and toluene and a chemical called dibutyl phthalate (DHB).  In all truthfulness, I was a bit hesitant to spend $23.90 on a bottle and have only paid so much for an OPI lacquer. But it was the last one and I have been eyeing the neon pink bottle for ages! Turns out, this nail polish is really good! It may not paint as well as OPI because of a smaller brush but usually my polish starts to chip a day after application and so far, they have not at all! Alicia said hers went 2 weeks without chipping which is amazing! It's really nice to know that these polishes are also suitable for children and mothers to be, so I can buy them as gifts any time.

Ah, on top of all these shopping, I have been eyeing on Undergrounds shoes like forever! I haven't found the guts to buy them yet because I'm always wearing classy ballerina pumps but I love the cut and look of the shoes, especially the Wulfruns. And now, I found out they're having wedges which is making me feel so much more uncomfortable inside!! AHHHHHHH....

Nevertheless, I still made this week's lust list with some stuff coming from Opening Ceremony (love that place!). OC has a very unique, one of a kind collection of clothes and accessories that you can't find in normal conventional stores. I'd say, it isn't for the ordinary girl on the street who likes plain shirts and jeans. The OC girl is always dressy, wearing clothes with quirky frills, details and colours all the time.

Anyway, this will be my last post for this week because I'll be taking a trip to Mongolia till the 18th. I heard it's a beautiful place so I expect to be wow-ed away and to meet God too. Till then, I leave you with a Vogue editorial by Tim Walker on Mongolia and a song that has been on replay for me: She's got you high by Mumm-ra.
