Settle down

Hi guys! Finally, I have moved in and settled down in my place. I have been staying a hotel for the past week while waiting for the important things like my bed to arrive in my place. I couldn't have put the whole place together so quickly without the help of my family. They not only helped me paint my walls (yellow!) and assemble my furniture (yes, Ikea for some), but they also guided me in buying house ware! Although it was overwhelming at times and being in a 'new' land makes it even harder to know where the stores are, I managed to put the necessary things together just in time before school starts! It's cosy now and I have a beautiful view of Kowloon from my side so the only word I can think of now is blessed. 

Living in Hong Kong is a pretty new experience for me even though it's an Asian country. I'm learning the language bit by bit and am kind of getting away with my mangled Chinese. This is the first time I regret not taking my Chinese classes seriously! Just a few days ago, my whole family saw my neighbour undressed! Yes, that's how close the building are here so it was really funny because she had no idea we were here! From my place, we can watch dramas from my neighbour's large screen TV. Hilarious but all jokes aside, I'm still finding my place here. I've realised that it's not the things or the buildings that make a place but the people that do. I really hope to find my purpose here soon so in the meantime, peace out & fresh air to you guys in Singapore!
