Blueprint 2013

I wish I could have blogged about Blueprint last week while it was still on but I was so busy working that I didn't have the opportunity to!

I felt that Blueprint has been getting better and better, ever since Tracy Phillips came to lead the team. This year, there was a great collaboration between Spa Esprit and Blueprint which saw the former bringing down their beauty brands like Strip and Browhaus to the emporium! In addition, the Blueprint team created a 'Blueprint' scent for the event which is cool because marketing can go beyond the visual realm sometimes.

I bought quite a few things from Emporium this year. A hat from Heads of State, a leather bucket bag from Voyageur du Temps and a woven mini bucket bag from Wayuu. These were brands that stood out personally for me because of their products and background. Heads of State is a millinery in Singapore. When I asked where their studio was, Sau Fen joked with me and said, "We make these hats in our bedrooms". I couldn't bring myself not to buy a hat from them because they were constructed so artistically that when worn, they could make you look like a classy French lady.

I didn't spend much time talking to Voyageur du Temps but when I saw their bucket bag, it impressed me because of the finish and the design. I wasn't planning to buy it till Gregory Woo, a fellow blogger, asked me if I saw anything I liked and that got me started on googling leather bucket bags. After realising what a good catch I found, I ran back to Blueprint from the Tent to buy the bag.

As for Wayuu, I would have bought bag they had if I could. From the feedback on my instagram, I could see that Wayuu was a favourite among a lot of shoppers. The colourful handwoven bags come from Columbia where the owner once came from. She is now based in Shanghai, so I can go find her! *hurray*

Anyway, there were brands I didn't buy from but LOVED so much too! They include Carrie K., Ong Shunmugam, Kye, Juma, Abcense, Helen Lee and Octa. Here comes the picture spam ;) Enjoy!
