So, life has literally been a drama for me lately. I was absolutely busy with my church's easter musical performance and kind of glad I was 'pre-employed' (my word for unemployed). Not only did I dance, sing and act like the rest of the cast, I was also the costume designer!
Oh boy, designing for 22 people, men and women, was not easy. But it was definitely a good experience! I spent my days coming up with designs, meeting with the director, finding swatches of fabrics and then putting them together- all in a uber short period of time. It all seemed so tiring going back and forth Arab Street till the costumes came back from the tailor and looked beautiful! The minute you see your work come to life, you really do feel like everything paid off. Though a sample initially looked too big and baggy, the costumes came together after some talks with the tailor.
We had many different scenes in the show so I had to decide on the costumes for the different characters- from temptresses to demons. Thank God that my director had a clear vision of how he wanted the musical to look, so it wasn't so difficult designing them too!
Anyway, just right after the musical ended, I'm now working at Mercury PR till the end of May. I'm helping them out with digital marketing for some events leading up to Audi Fashion Festival. It's so beautiful how everything seems to fall into place in God's timing.
Now, I just have a very tough decision to make. I would love to share more about the situation now but I feel that it'd be better to let you know the outcome when it's done. For now, good night pals!
