Yesterday was the Parco next Next media preview (post coming up soon). I finally got the chance to wear a new watch Moment Watches recently sent me! I love watches and this one is really cute :) The 'Be Late' watch says " I am __ minutes late but it's okay!". I prefer to be punctual when meeting people but when I'm late (because I wasn't watching the time), I like to tell myself not to rush and slow down before something bad happens. So, thanks for the reminder watch!
Hint: #ootd and a giveaway is in this post!
rest of #ootd: Dress from Mash Up, Necklace from Sort & Pepper, Wedges from Aldo
#random: Whooa, I WEDonWED! (WED stands for 'Wear Emerging Designers)
(In case you can't see the picture) Anyway, thanks to the kind folks at Moment Watches, I have 2 of these watches to giveaway! Simply leave me a comment here or on my instagram (@dawnbey) on whether you like people being late or not and why! Giveaway ends Wednesday, 6 March, 2359 (GMT +8)

I don't think anyone would like people being late, or even being late. I think a lot of this is about respecting one another's time and not take it for granted. But of course, when it comes to emergencies or last minute matters, there should always be loads of understanding and grace. (:
ReplyDeleteI hate people being late because I am always early and thus I end up waiting for them but this is rarely a problem for me though because I have no friends so I am not too concerned.
ReplyDeleteI don't like people being late as it wastes time to do something better and waste my phone battery on apps.
ReplyDeleteI used to be upset when people are late but I've learnt to take it easy and with the help of smartphones, time pass faster and I can do my own stuff or walk around. Life's too short to be anything but happy! :)

ReplyDeleteI, for one, don't like people being late, hence I try to always be on time... So that people won't wait for me, as I certainly don't like to wait for others for a long period of time. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Yvonne! You have won a Moment Watch :) An e-mail should be coming to you soon!
DeleteThere's no excuse for it, and it's incredibly rude.
ReplyDeleteIt depends.
If you're late once in a while, it is possible that there are legitimate extenuating circumstances. If you're late all the time, it means you're inconsiderate and unwilling to take the trouble to be on time.
There isn't really anything that makes it all right. You've inconvenienced everyone, and possibly thrown off people's plans seriously.
It just says you don't care.

Congratulations Elaine! You have won a Moment Watch :) Can you drop me an email/ a comment here with your email so that I can send the watch over to you? xx
DeletePersonally I don't like people being late because it means that I will have to wait longer and it's really annoying. What's more people who are usually late will tend to avoid answering calls. It just adds on to the anger.
ReplyDeleteHowever, when they are late I usually get to benefit from it as well!:)This means I will get to enjoy free meals and movies or etc.. as they will be feeling guilty.
But what is more important is that they take the effort to be there no matter what. True friends.
I don't like people being late even though as much I try, I am mostly late. However my secret to avoiding a scolding is to start an interesting conversation when I do reach and that beautiful watch should help me do just that.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have to admit that I am a little laid-back about time and would always waited till the last minute before rushing through but then again, I am always on the dot for appointments and meet-ups because I see punctuality as a core-value in terms of courtesy and respecting others.
ReplyDeleteHaving that said, I am okay with waiting for a while (say, 10 - 15 minutes if I have a book or my smartphone or ipad to distract me a bit) but I would definitely not tolerate perpetual lateness.
cheers

I prefer people being late so I can be the one waiting. Not to say that I'm punctual (it's hardly ever the case eh heh oops), I guess I prefer waiting. I'd rather be inconvenienced than someone else.
ReplyDeleteSo maybe if I wake up earlier and be punctual... There wouldn't be the risk of inconveniencing someone............................ HMM.
Wow, this watch must be pretty good, giving revelations and all.
But my answer would still be: I prefer people being late. I like the buffer. It's calming.
I'm too late HAHAHAHA see you guys all the best.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys for participating! By a random draw, Elaine and Yvonne have won a watch each :) Do take part in the Club Monaco giveaway if you havent! xx
