Menswear: CH Carolina Herrera

Sooooo many guys have been telling me to blog about men's fashion for the longest time ever, but I never got down to doing it because I don't know that much about it.

However, with the new CH Carolina Herrera freestanding boutique opening at Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands next month, I thought it would be good to talk about the men's range they'd be bringing in, especially since I've covered the women's previously.

Just as a brief recap, CH Carolina Herrera was started in 2001 by American designer Carolina Herrera and her daughter who shares the same name. Their brand has grown from clothing men and women to encompass lifestyle products for customers who identify with their brand. For that reason, the store in MBS will be stocked with children's and specialty items too!

For the men's collection, I can see that both Carolina Herrera and her daughter design for well-dressed gentlemen. They wear impeccable suits and are not afraid to infuse their style into their dressing. The looks are sleek, like many other brands, but always styled with their signature red colour to make the look extra interesting. 

For example, a red and blue striped tie is paired with a navy blue coat and pants and finished off with red mocassins. Not everyone can pull off this look, but if someone did wear this, I would definitely take another look at him!

In the looks too is a prominent accessory- the man bag. I don't see many men around with a shoulder tote but strangely, it doesn't look weird here! The scarf though, in bright prints, looks a bit out of place. Nonetheless, the looks styled and presented by the brand are fun and full of character!

The new CH Carolina Herrera boutique will be located at B1-19 of Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.
