Kelly Love

Recently, there have been more and more Australian designers appearing everywhere. An example would be like Dion Lee whose runway photographs are now published on the renown style.com.

Today, I stumbled upon Kelly Love, an Australian fashion designer based in London. Her collections consist of beautiful dainty prints done on delicate fabrics. Her Spring Summer 2013 collection entitled "The Idyllic Hour" is inspired by the love for one another and the cities we live in.

The designer once stayed in Japan before returning to Sydney where she did her studies at Raffles Design Institute. After working with several labels, she launched her own brand at the New Generations show at Australia Fashion Week.

I've found myself to like Australian designers more and more possibly because of their design aesthetics. It is usually simple, pure and has great use of bold colours. The look is often kept feminine and elegant and the daywear produced is so wearable. Perhaps it is the way Australia is, the unpretentious people or the breathtaking scenery that inspires these designers.

Kelly Love Spring Summer 2013 is not available for purchase yet but you can purchase her other collections on Young British Designers or on her site, Kelly Love.
