Hello everyone! I had a pretty early day yesterday beginning with a run around Marina Bay at 7am. It was a pleasant and quiet run and there was a dragon boat competition going on at UOB Plaza!
Anyway, my family and I headed to Malaysia Boleh for dinner and upon Instagramming some photos, I realised that a lot of my friends haven't been to it before. I didn't take many photos but here's me attempting to tell you about the food and the place!
To begin, we drove to Jurong Point and had to wait for a lot. Then we found Malaysia Boleh in the midst of a crowded mall and had to wait around for a table. Urm, we literally had to stand at a table of people eating and wait for them to finish. This is when you have to be SMART ;) After getting a table (that's a big achievement), you have to wait in line at different stalls for food.
Malaysia Boleh has the famous KL Hokkien Mee, Penang Char Kway Teow, Bak Kut Teh, Curry Noodles, Penang Assam Laksa and many more. All of the food was good and tasted authentic. I loved the Char Kway Teow the most :) The Bak Kut Teh soup was really good too!
The portions can be small for the price (eg. A small plate of Char Kway Teow is $4). Nevertheless, I enjoyed my experience mostly thanks to the decor and the food! They styled the place up like how Singapore used to be (in my mind) and made everyone queue at little stores with traditional sign boards. The place is pretty big too! It was probably just crowded because it was so popular.
My advice is that you head there during the off-peak hours like 530-6pm. We got there at 7pm and it was wayyy too crowded!
Malaysia Boleh is located at Jurong Point Wing 2, #03-28 (near Kopitiam food court!)
