I have been doing the opening shift at Little Man for the past 3 days. When I got up yesterday, I thought it was going to be a normal day. But no, when I got to the store, I learnt that Bryan Wong and Keith Png were coming to film a channel 8 drama! You have no idea how excited I was, even though it was related to a language I do not excel in.
Bryan Wong and Keith Png were such a funny pair! They kept making impromptu jokes in Chinese and were so polite and nice to us. Alicia & I were standing by watching the film in progress, keeping away from the camera's view and trying hard to keep up with the fast and fluent chinese conversation between the two.
The nice part of the show was a makeover they did for an ordinary girl chosen to star in the program. If you take another look at the first photo, you can see her in a white top, faded blue jeans and track shoes. But taaaadddah, they have transformed her into a pretty princess with clothes and accessories from Little Man!
Dress: Al & Alicia, Bag: Obey, Shoes: Pointer, necklace: Vamoose, Cuff: Hayden Harnett, Hat: our own
And funny I decided to turn up in a denim-on-denim ensemble, inspired by a french artist! Of all days, I could have turned up as a normal girl, I turned up as a french artist. HAHAHA!
#ootd: gap denim shirt, vintage pins & scarf from London, felt hat from KL
After work, Jon & I headed for a walk at Botanic Gardens. We wanted to go somewhere but I've been trying to stay away from going to places with food because that's probably what we're going to be doing. After looking at ducks and swans, we found this little bird sitting on the ground. In fact, a little boy almost rolled over it on the grass with his skate scooter! Thank God he didn't. The bird seemed okay, it could fly for some distance so we thought maybe it was unable to fly up. With some fear, I picked it up and its legs grabbed my fingers like a branch and just stood on my hand. It was nice to feel it standing.
After looking at it for awhile, I called mom and we decided to take it home to nurse it to health. It started to get a little chilly so I took off my scarf and wrapped it around the little bird. So Jon drove (not so slowly) home and we placed it in the little cage we had with food and water. But sadly, by the time night fell, the bird wasn't in a very good condition anymore and died shortly after in my hands. Sigh, I know this is nothing compared to a person's death but the fact that something died was just so saddening.
Now, may we have a moment of silence for the bird...
